Two of Tom's recent film projects will be shown in this year's London Film Festival...
The first to screen is 'Departure' - the debut feature film by DirectorAndrew Steggall, for which Tom worked as Sound Designer. Departure stars Juliet Stevenson and Alex Lawther and will be screening on the 9th and 10th of October.
The second film is 'Trickster' - by Artist / Film Maker Tessa Power. Tom worked as Sound Designer and Composer on this film. It will be screening on 18th October as part fo the 'Dream Worlds and Nightmare Visions' selection. The trailer can be viewed below...

Last month saw the world premiere of 'Nina Forever' atSouth by Southwestin Austin, Texas. Written and directed by brothers Ben and Chris Blaine, Nina Forever is a horror comedy feature film which stars Fiona O'Shaughnessy, Abigail Hardingham, and Cian Barry. Tom designed the sound effects and foley for the film.

Tom has just returned from the south of France, where he was making location sound recordings for 'Departure' - the debut feature from DirectorAndrew Steggall. Tom will be using the recordings in the coming weeks as he works as Sound Designer on the film.
The Guardian website is showing 'Mayday' - a short film that Tom worked on as both Music Composer and Sound Designer. The film stars Juliet Stevenson and was directed by Natalie Abrahami. September's issue of The Wire contains Jospeh Stannard's engaging review of Shezad Dawood's Piercing Brightness - on which Tom worked as Sound Designer. Stannard describes the sound design as 'compelling' and writes that the soundtrack has been 'folded into a disquieting ambient swirl'. He concludes that 'Piercing Brightness is at once a convincing example of British science fiction and a fascinating meditation on otherness and assimilation'.
Tom has worked with director May Abdalla on two documentary films broadcast in the Al Jazeera Artscape series The New African Photograpy which 'showcases how a new generation of African photographers are keen to celebrate what is unique about the region, while remaining unflinching about the real problems facing their countries'.
Tom has just completed work as Sound Designer on 'Piercing Brightness'. The feature-lengh film was directed by artist Shezad Dawood and relates to his current major solo exhibition of the same name. The exhibition incorperates 'Trailer' - a fifteen minute film which Tom also worked on as Sound Designer.
Having won the Cottbus Discovery Award and the main award at the Pravo Ljudski Film Festival last year, Mirage (an "exploration of displacement, longing and desire") has also just won the Best Short documentary Award at the London Short Film Festival. Tom worked with Director Srdan Keca on the film in the role of Sound Designer and Rerecording Mixer.

Tom has been working with writer/director Andrew Steggall and Motion Group Pictures on two short films - The Red Bike and The Door. The latter is based on The Door in the Wall by H. G. Wells and stars Charles Dance, Harriet Walter and Tobias Menzies.

Tom recently completed work on a short film called Long Distance Information - written and directed by Douglas Hart and starring Peter Mullan. The film is a black comedy set on one Christmas day between East Kilbride and London and explores the strained relationship between a father and his 20 year old son.
M A Y . 2 0 1 1 THREE OLIVES VODKA
Tom has been working with animation company Birdbox Studio on commercials developed by L.A. based advertising agency M&C Saatchi. The campaign is a humorous series of TV spots for Three Olives Vodka.
